GOLD MEDAL FOR THE
culinary team

Once again, The Sutton Place Hotel's culinary
team excelled with their epicurean masterpieces,
this time at the BC Chef's Association Culinary
Show and Competition at BC Place Stadium on
Saturday, May 26th, 2007.
After hours of preparation, two of The Sutton
Place Hotel's chefs came out on top: in the
"Novice and Professionals" category, Fleuri
Restaurant Chef, Raman Anand, received the Top
Gold Overall for his 4 Individual Plated
Entrees. Also in the "Novice and Professionals"
category, First Cook, Alex Hung, received the
Gold for his Three-Course Casual Luncheon.
"Raman and Alex are very talented professionals,
and we are all very proud of them," said
Wolfgang Dauke, Food and Beverage Manager.
"These awards only confirm what we have
always known."
The event is held annually at the "EAT
Vancouver, the Everything Food and Kitchen
Show", where Vancouverites are invited to come
and savour some of the city's best of the best
in food and kitchenware for the home. In
addition to the many celebrities and local media
personalities, Vancouver's talented and
brightest chef's take the stage to showcase
their creativity and flare in the Culinary Salon
Competition. The Sutton Place Hotel is renowned
for fine dining at its Fleuri Restaurant. The
Fleuri kitchen team's creative flare may be
experienced nightly at the restaurant, as guests
are encouraged to partake in a variety of events
such as the infamous Chocoholic Buffet, daily
Afternoon Tea, Sunday Jazz Brunches and an
ever-changing seasonal a-la-carte menu.
